The Black Light District is the creative brain child of Ronnie Tinsley. A native Houstonian as well as an entrepreneur, artist, musician, and film enthusiast, Ronnie has developed "TBLD" as an outlet for his efforts in these creative areas of interest.

Ronnie devotes time and efforts to his community and in 2004 was elected Chairman of the San Jacinto College Advisory Board; he has been re-elected every year since that time. This voluntary position’s duties include contributing to curriculum development and marketing strategies for student enrollment efforts within the regional district by advising the administration and the Dean’s office. Ronnie was also part of the founding of The Houston Band Coalition, a nonprofit 501-3C organization, and was elected as Vice President in 2005 and President 2007-2009 and oversaw its rise in membership from 400 active members to nearly 2000 active members, leading a collective effort to promote and market the regional musical arts of the Gulf Coast area. Ronnie also serves as Vice President of the Sacred Heart School of Crosby Texas and donates time and talent to improve the private schools overall form and function. Ronnie is also a licensed Master Electrician and owns and operates serveral Houston based corporations within the Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Maintenance - Service and Construction fields.
